Almost savoury in nature, it brews a strong, deep indigo colour that transforms into a magical violet when it meets something acidic, like lemon juice.  Butterfly Pea Flower is very popular in Asia, where it’s also known as “Blue Tea.” The earthy notes pair well with peppermint, chamomile, or our Melon Mist Oolong if you prefer to drink it blended.     This tea from the Darjeeling region of Northern India is grown in high altitudes and in relatively cool weather. It is perhaps India’s best known tea production region, besides Assam. Our version is the second-flush that is harvested in June when the tea leaves are more fully developed. The liquor is bright with a distinct and delicate floral aroma. The taste is full and complex with Darjeeling's signature muscatel character. A perfect choice for afternoon tea or entertaining guests. Ingredients: Darjeeling black tea (TGFOP). Organic.

    An organic green tea from HuangShan (Yellow Mountain Range 黃山) located in southern Anhui Province of China. Loosely translated from Chinese Wu Lu(霧綠), Emerald Cloud has the characteristic that one comes to love from a Chinese green tea-- bright freshly cut grass aroma, beautiful yet subtle nutty notes, and a smooth yet creamy finish. The delicacy of this tea is best brought to light with lower than usual water temperature (70-75°C/167°F) and shorter infusion time (45-60 seconds). Ingredients: Single origin green tea from China.   • Hei-Cha Coins

    It’s not a typical black tea you have in mind. A post-fermented tea that’s formed into a coin form, Hei-cha is a type of dark tea (黑茶) that is different from what is called black tea in the West. Hei-Cha has been part of Chinese tea culture for centuries. Processed through a special technique called wet piling, Hei Cha gets sweeter and more depth with age. Compared to Pu-erh, Hei-Cha has a mellower and lighter profile. Rinse first to break and wake up the tea.     This is a hand-picked black tea from Kenya. It is Fairtrade, non-GMO, and Rainforest Alliance certified. While not certified organic, no pesticides or chemicals were used on these leaves.  It is medium-bodied, malty, smooth, with a gentle astringency and a hint of dried plum finish. Milder in boldness when compared to our Assam Black. A great breakfast tea to enjoy straight or with a dash of milk.  Ingredients: Kenya black tea.

    This is a hand-picked Oolong tea from Kenya. It is Fairtrade, non-GMO, and Rainforest Alliance certified. While not certified organic, no pesticides or chemicals were used on these leaves.  The high oxidation (~80%) makes this tea tastes more like a black tea than a green tea. It has a wonderful floral aroma with a hint of honey and a clean finish. An afternoon pick-me-up tea to enjoy straight or with a dash of milk.  Ingredients: Kenya Oolong tea.

  • Kenya Purple Tea

    This is a hand-picked purple tea from Kenya.  It is Fairtrade, non-GMO, and Rainforest Alliance certified. While not certified organic, no pesticides or chemicals were used on these leaves.  The body is light and the vegetal note is similar to a Chinese green tea, with a hint of sweet finish. Low in caffeine, the colour of the brew is somewhere between light red and light purple. This special varietal is only grown in Kenya (as far as we know of now). The leaf naturally has a hint of purple hue because of a mutation that resulted in the production of an antioxidant called anthocyanin, a compound that you will also find in other purple food such as blueberries, blackcurrants, and pomegranate. ...

    This Lapsang Souchong is a medium bodied smoky black tea from China. It has a smoky aroma reminiscent of a warm evening around the campfire. The taste is balanced and smooth, with the astringency that lingers on the palate, containing just enough mystery to entice you to take another sip. It has plenty of depth with notes of smoky campfire, Cedarwood and a hint of dried fig. We like to enjoy it as is. As the key ingredient for the famous Russian Caravan tea, many of our customers blend their own at-home version with our English Breakfast or Earl Grey Classic.
